Flowers-Fields leaving TCC, takes job at DLLR

Ellen Flowers-Fields, who has been director for regional economic development at the Tri-County Council for Southern Maryland since 2006, is moving on to bigger things, having accepted a position overseeing workforce investment boards throughout the state.

During her tenure, the Southern Maryland Workforce Investment Board was resurrected in 2009 under the auspices of the TCC, an achievement that made the region eligible for federal workforce development grants, said TCC Executive Director Wayne Clark. This let Flowers-Fields expand from “a department of one” when she started to overseeing nine people today.
